We wanted it to be a space that was modern, since Miami has a picture. So the half is open-plan using a metal staircase constructed from the steel. For the space that was public, we wanted to imbue what fragments were there together with all the phantom of memory. We could restore the brick vaults that are outstanding, due to the budget. The hanging world lights that are new are a manifestation of the layout. The post office was among the permanent civic structures in Miami wood when it was constructed in 1912.
